Hyundai Teases New EV, Promises It Will Be The Biggest EV Yet From The Brand
SAUDI ARABIA: Hyundai is preparing for the Brussels Motor Show, expected to start on January 9, 2026. As a part of the lead-up to the event, Hyundai has teased the launch of a new EV at the Brussels Motor Show. The brand mentioned that this model is expected to be the biggest EV from Hyundai yet. While the brand has not shared any details beyond that, it is expected that the Hyundai EV will be a full-electric variant of the Staria MPV that’s available in select markets globally. Along with the “biggest EV yet” tagline, the teaser also alluded to that the car will be built on Hyundai’s “state-of-the-art electric technology,” and the car will also come with 800-volt charging technology.
What’s New With The New Hyundai EV?

The teaser images shared by Hyundai do not reveal much, but from what’s visible, we now know that there’s a full-width LED light bar and the Hyundai logo is placed just below the light bar. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, keen-eyed observers have noted that the lighting arrangement visible on the teaser image looks a lot like the Staria MPV ICE variant.

This is why rumours are running wild that the EV will indeed be the Staria MPV in a full-electric variant set for a launch in Europe and the Asia Pacific regions, including the Gulf countries. Need more fuel to the fire? The Staria EV has been spied testing internationally. Also, the Staria is one of the biggest cars in the Hyundai non-commercial lineup, so it makes sense that the hint was towards Staria only when Hyundai said they’re launching their “biggest EV yet.”
Lastly, the teaser has somewhat revealed that the Staria EV, if it is the Staria EV, will not have many design changes from the ICE model. However, it is expected that the EV-specific updates will roll out soon.
