Toyota Shares New “To You” Concept At The Japan Mobility Show 2025 That Focuses On Localised Modification & People-first Mobility
SAUDI ARABIA: Toyota has been the frontrunner in making headlines at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, and the “To You” concept is yet another strategy unveiled by Toyota that has made headlines. Toyota’s motto has always been “Mobility for All,” but with this concept, they’re now changing it to “Mobility for You.”

The meaning of this new direction of Toyota vehicles was perfectly encapsulated by the Toyota president, Koji Sato. In his opening remarks, he stated that even though Toyota has built cars that served everyone for years, the truth remains that no product can fit all lives perfectly.

And as a result, the brand was moving towards a different direction now, where their vehicles are built for specific people in mind, people like farmers, shop owners, delivery drivers, and small businesses. This is how the “To You” concept is being brought to life, with the development of personalised vehicles that are easily modifiable and suited to help people first and businesses second.
The “To You” concept is built as a version of the Toyota Hiace, and it will be more than a van. While hosting Toyota’s world-class manufacturing, the vehicle will be designed around empathy. It will be built to fit many roles, from anything like last-mile deliveries to mobile retail or medical transport to community use. The vehicle has been designed for specific use cases rather than the van being a one-size-fits-all.
Toyota has also unveiled the IMV Origin project at the JMS 2025. This will be Toyota’s new spin on the “Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle” line. The IMV project cars will be shipped intentionally unfinished, and as a result, they can be finished locally to create jobs and ensure each car fits the needs of its users. It will also help Toyota redefine affordable urban and practical mobility.
