There were 44,535 Tang series vehicles manufactured between March 2015 and July 2017, as per China’s market regulator. All of those cars manufactured in that timeframe have been recalled due to component design issues. The SAMR noted, “In extreme cases, this can cause circuit board corrosion and disable the vehicle's pure electric drive mode, posing a safety hazard.” The company’s dealers have been instructed to provide a free software update for all affected vehicles within the recall scope. The update will change the discharge method to electric discharge, which will eliminate safety hazards.

The other car that has been recalled is the Yuan Pro pure electric vehicles, which was produced between February 2021 and August 2022. The market regulator in China noted that a total of 71,248 vehicles of the Yuan Pro range were manufactured in this time period, and all of them have been recalled for probable improperly-installed power battery gaskets. The improper installation may result in reduced sealing. The firm shared, “Prolonged high-speed driving through water may cause water to enter the power battery, degrading insulation performance. In extreme cases, the power battery output power may be reduced, posing a safety hazard.” To address this recall, the brand has instructed the dealerships to use a special sealant to reinforce the power battery housings of the recalled vehicles. The service will be offered for free on all recalled cars.
