Deepal, Introduced By Almajdouie As A New Automobile Brand in Saudi Arabia, Brand Launches With Three New Models

SAUDI ARABIA: Almajdouie has officially unveiled Deepal. It is expected to revolutionise the future of mobility in Saudi Arabia. Deepal aims to focus on smarter, cleaner, and more connected driving experiences with the REEV technology. The Range Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) technology adds extended range reliability to the vehicles. 

This technology is going to power Deepal cars by adding a range extender to the EV setup with a gasoline generator. With an extended range, it reduces range anxiety significantly and can even offer a range of up to 950 km on a single charge. 

The cars for Deepal are going to be built in collaboration with Changan, the Chinese automaker, to ensure the cars are a perfect fit for Saudi drivers. The brand launch has come with three new models, most of which are available and ready for buyers in the Kingdom.

Deepal S07 Highlights

Deepal S07 is a versatile SUV powered by the REEV technology of Deepal. It provides a total driving range of 950 km, which eases range anxiety for drivers. The car comes with a 1.5-litre engine with rear-wheel drive for better on-road and off-road performance. The car has a 31.74 kWh battery pack, which can be charged both with AC and DC current, with a charging time of 5.6 hours and around 15 minutes, respectively. The interiors feature wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with USB-C and USB-A ports. The S07 comes at a starting price of around SAR 115,900.

Deepal S05 Highlights

The S05 is placed below the S07 in the Deepal lineup. It offers a majority of the same benefits and features of the S07, with a slightly lower price point of SAR 99,000. Much like the S07, the S05 is also powered by the REEV technology and has a 1.5-litre engine. The car comes with a Single Speed Transmission and rear-wheel drive.  The total power output of the car is 215 hp, and the car has a 27.28 kWh battery pack. It supports both AC and DC charging, with AC charging taking less than six hours and DC charging taking 20 minutes.

Deepal G318 Highlights

The Deepal G318 was showcased at the launch of Deepal in the KSA. However, the model is not currently available in the country. It will be launched officially in the KSA at a later stage. The G318 is a performance-oriented hybrid SUV with impressive off-road capabilities. The G318 has a maximum power output of 424 hp, and it can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. The top speed of the model has been electronically limited to 180 kmph, and the car has a combined range of 850 km powered by the REEV technology.
