Lexus Shows Off Its 6-Wheel Van Concept At The 2025 Japan Mobility Show
SAUDI ARABIA: There have been some major changes in the brand hierarchy at Toyota. It was recently announced that Century will replace Lexus as the top brand under the Toyota group of brands. Since then, Lexus has reinvented its own brand identity.

Previously, Lexus stood for the term ‘Luxury Sedan’; however, with their new marquee concept reveal at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, it was also revealed that Lexus will now stand for ‘Luxury Space.’ This new brand identity was introduced with the following statement from the team: “Space is freedom and space is privacy. Two commodities that are simply priceless.”

The new brand image of Lexus was introduced alongside a new concept model, the Lexus LS concept. There were some unique prototypes showcased by Lexus, but the headline was the LS Concept, which is a six-wheeled van. The LS Concept has a futuristic design that’s marked by its boxy look and use of LED lighting both in the front and the back of the car. The front fascia is dominated by a large windscreen, which improves the visual capacity of the driver. Another fascinating detail of the Lexus LS Concept is that the front wheels of the model are slightly larger than the four wheels in the back.
There’s no information yet on whether the van will feature a front-wheel drive or a Rear Wheel Drive, but what’s most exciting about this concept is what if it offers all-wheel drive. An AWD van is not common and can offer the brand an edge over competitors in the market. In fact, with van-life subculture booming globally and camper vans becoming increasingly popular, this can be a unique offering that finds a loyal following in niche markets as a van that works well across all terrains.
