The Toyota Corolla Gets A Facelift & You Didn’t Even Know

SAUDI ARABIA: The Toyota Corolla has gotten a new design and it is a significant news considering Toyota is one of the last companies to update the design on their cars. The images of the new facelift of the Toyota Corolla was released by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. 

The images were filed by Toyota as a part of regulatory filings. Even though there’s no solid news regarding whether this redesigned Corolla will be sold anywhere other than China at the moment, it is still expected that there’s atleast one market that will get to see a new Corolla with Toyota’s new design language that was previously showcased in the recent RAV4 and the Prius.

The current Toyota Corolla generation has been in the market for six years already. There’s no news for a new generation of the car in line for launch, so the model is feeling dated already. This slight design upgrade can be a refreshing update for buyers, if it is extended worldwide. The Corolla with its updated design is filed with the Chinese ministry as the “Corolla Allion.” 

What’s New With The Toyota Corolla’s Design?

The images shared by the Chinese ministry are those of the car’s exterior only as is standard. One of the first changes that one would notice looking at this design update is that the headlights have changed. 

There’s a split arrangement to the headlights now with the upper section of the split including a C-shaped outline with continuous LED strips in the centre. The high and low beams of the headlight are placed at the edge of the bumper on both sides framed between black accents. 

Lastly, there’s a new grille with a more prominent front spoiler to complete the refreshed look. The sides of the car haven’t seen much changes with the only new thing being wheel designs. The back has seen some upgrades with the taillights featuring a new internal layout.
