Audi Is Getting Its Futuristic Concept Sports Car Ready For Production & Global Rollout

SAUDI ARABIA: One of the main problems with concept cars that go into production is that they end up looking nothing like the concept. However, Audi is planning to flip the script with assurance that their Concept C is going into production and will be available in the next few years with minimal changes to the car’s concept.

The only changes that are expected are supposed to be very minor ones, such as door handles, sensors, and minor tweaks. Apart from that, the car will retain its original design as expressed in the show car. This new concept and its production also lay the foundation of the new design language that Audi will be adopting, called “radical simplicity.” The Chief Creative Officer of Audi, Massimo Frascella, who took on the role in June 2024, has stated that this design language will involve “reducing everything to the essential both inside and out.”

Audi Concept C: Design

As per the concept model that was shared by the manufacturer, this model will be a two-seater coupe with a retractable roof that has two panels. Audi has also showcased a similar design strategy as the Jaguar Type 00 and Polestar 5 by removing the rear window of the car and instead installing three horizontal slats there. In terms of dimensions, the Concept C will feature a length of 178 inches, a width of 78 inches, and a height of 50 inches with a 101.1-inch wheelbase.

Audi Concept C: Possible Engine & Performance

The build platform for the Concept C from Audi has not been revealed yet. However, it has been hinted that the car will feature both an RWD and an AWD variant. In terms of charging tech, the car will feature an 800-volt electrical system that will provide ultra-fast charging.
