BMW iX3 Showcased At CES 2026 With New Next-Generation Tech Features
SAUDI ARABIA: The iX3 from BMW was first showcased at the Munich Motor Show in 2025. It featured BMW’s Neue Klasse architecture and was among the first cars in the lineup to showcase it. At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the car has been spotted again, this time with an improved cabin complete with a variety of next-gen tech features.

BMW has announced that the features showcased at CES 2026 will be rolled out to other BMW models in the future as well. In fact, the brand has announced that its entire lineup will be equipped with the showcased features by 2027.
The new features presented at the CES 2026 include: an information and driver-assistance system that’s AI-assisted in the car. The entertainment options in the infotainment system now include streaming platforms and games, and additional features will be added OTA with software updates.
BMW iX3: AI Integration

The BMW iX3 is getting an ‘intelligent personal assistant’ that will be running the latest version of the iDrive infotainment system of BMW. The system now integrates Amazon Alexa+, which is a generative AI voice assistant capable of understanding and responding to questions about the car as well as questions on general knowledge. The benefit of having Alexa+ on the new Neue Klasse models is that it will eliminate the need of users to memorise commands. As the Alexa+ is powered by a Large Language Model (LLM), it can pick up on cues from natural language and pick up patterns, preferences over time. This will improve responses over time and make the car feel even more personalised.
BMW iX3: New Infotainment Options
In a feature that can potentially resemble the seventh circle of hell, BMW is now ensuring that you’re never away from your workplace, with the capability to attend Zoom meetings from your car. So, goodbye to the conversations surrounding, “can’t make it to the meeting, stuck in traffic.” The next-generation BMW models will use the BMW Operating System X (10) software. This will allow the manufacturer to expand the list of supported apps for its infotainment system, which would include Tivo’s video app and Disney+. The combination of these apps will allow users to watch live TV and on-demand streaming content on their 17.9-inch infotainment screen.
