SAUDI ARABIA: McLaren, one of the most popular sports car brands in the world, had mentioned that they only want to stick to making low-slung supercars. However, in a move that has surprised many, the brand is probably coming out with its first SUV by 2028. The SUV is already in development and is being referred to as P47 internally.

The design was said not to be in line with traditional SUV designs; in fact, the dimensions were reportedly wider and lower compared to other cars.

McLaren has always had a teardrop-inspired headlight design, but the P47 allegedly was shown off to have a split headlight layout. This indicates a new design language may also be introduced along with the new model.

Under the hood, the P47 is expected to use a hybrid V8 powertrain. However, there’s a catch. The P47 won’t be a plug-in hybrid model.
