Mercedes-Benz S-Class Officially Previewed Ahead Of Launch On January 29 2026
SAUDI ARABIA: Mercedes-Benz has officially previewed the updated S-Class ahead of its global launch on January 29. The flagship sedan is getting new design, tech, and software updates that have kept fans on the edge. The new variant of the S-Class is a mid-cycle update for the car, which is currently based on the W223 platform. Even though all the details are still not available, it has been claimed that Mercedes is preparing a wide set of changes for the car that can potentially extend the car’s lifecycle.

Much like how a flagship car gets refined rather than rebuilt, the mid-cycle update of the S-Class is expected to be focused on comfort, tech, and digital features significantly. The updated S-Class is set to retain its exterior design without many problems. Visual changes are likely to be small and subtle. Some design changes that have been hinted at include a change to the front fascia and the grille design. The bonnet-mounted star may be back on the car again.

Inside the cabin, the car will most probably be going through the most changes, this includes the addition of the Mercedes-Benz Operating Systen also known as the MB.OS. The software platform will manage infotainment, vehicle functions, connectivity features, and over-the-air updates for the car in the future. The design will also include switchgear and steering wheel controls for improved usability.
The updated S-Class cars will continue to have multiple powertrain options, including petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid. As the launch is very close to happening, it is expected that some features may not see the light of day just yet. Some of the features, like higher levels of automated driving, may be rolled out as OTAs at a later stage.
