Mitsubishi’s New Electric Car To Come With Hot Hatch Power
SAUDI ARABIA: A new Mitsubishi EV is expected to drop soon, and it shows great promise in the performance front. It is expected to reach showrooms by the end of 2026, so there is a lot to be excited about for Mitsubishi fans.

The car is going to be manufactured in partnership with Foxtron, the company that manufactures the iPhone. The Foxtron model is expected to be used as a reference for the Mitsubishi EV, and it shows how the brand is open to unconventional partnerships. Foxtron making cars is not even the first mobile phone manufacturing company to make cars, as Xiaomi also already makes popular EVs in China.
The new Mitsubishi EV was expected to be made in collaboration with Nissan, considering Mitsubishi announced that their future electric models would lean on Nissan. So, the Foxtron model is surprising for many.

The model expected to launch in 2026 will use a 57.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The expected range in the car is going to be over 500 km per charge. The claimed range is derived from the relatively lenient NEDC test cycle, so the actual real-world range of the car is expected to be lower. The car will support fast charging, and it will allow a 10 to 80 percent charge in 30 minutes.
The dimensions of the car are going to measure 4,315 mm long, 1,885 mm wide, and 1,535 mm tall with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. The car will get 18-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels, pop-out door handles, and a panoramic glass roof. These specifications are present in the Foxtron version of the car and are expected to carry forward to the Mitsubishi model. Any design changes the Mitsubishi model have not been confirmed yet.
