Nissan Ready To Take The Global EV Market By Storm With New EV SUVs

SAUDI ARABIA: Nissan has been one of the automobile brands trying to revamp their lineup and create new options that are appropriate for current market trends. The new EV offerings from Nissan intend to do just that with polished styling, incredible performance, and lucrative technology to take the global EV SUV segment by storm.

After the success of the Nissan Leaf, the brand is planning to introduce several fully-electric SUVs with similar models that focus not only on a reliable electric powertrain, but also future-focused design, practical features, safety, and comfort features. 

Nissan New EV SUV Highlights

• The new electric SUV is expected to have 20 to 22-inch wheels along with LED headlamps and a closed front grille

• The cars will get automatic parking, adaptive cruise control, and advanced driver assistance systems as standard

• The interiors of the cars will feature carbon fibre and recycled leather with a large touchscreen that’s powered by Android Automotive OS.

Performance of New Nissan EV SUV

Nissan has not shared concrete information regarding the performance figures of the elusive new EV SUV. However, industry sources have mentioned that the model will offer powerful performance with a max power output of around 250 to 350 hp. In fact, the model will also feature all-wheel drive, which indicates a dual-motor setup. The car is expected to have a driving range of up to 500 km. 

Nissan is also planning a hybrid model of the same configuration with some significant differences. The primary focus of the hybrid model is long drives. The hybrid model will not have all-wheel drive as standard; rather, it’ll be front-wheel drive cars with all-wheel drive as optional. The hybrid variant will also only have a range of up to 400 km max. In terms of acceleration, the EV SUV is expected to go from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 6 seconds, while the hybrid model may take as long as 8 seconds to complete the sprint.

Pricing and Availability

Nissan has not yet shared the pricing for this new EV SUV. However, this model is expected to be a great option for eco-minded drivers globally, ensuring that upon official announcement, the car will get a global rollout.
