The public testing of the Porsche Cayenne EV at England’s Shelsley Walsh hill climb showcased the incredible real-world performance of the car. With the Porsche Formula E development driver Gabriel Jílková behind the wheel, the car clocked a lap time of just 31.28 seconds. The real-world performance proved to be better than competing models like the Bentley Bentayga Speed. What’s equally impressive is the fact that Porsche achieved this lap time with standard summer tires.
Porsche Cayenne EV: What We Know So Far
The Cayenne EV is drawing on the Premium Platform Electric architecture of Porsche that’s used for the Macan EV and Audi Q6 e-Tron models. Dual-motor variants of the Cayenne EV should have a similar output of about 470 kW and over 500 km WLTP range.
