Aston Martin Introduces A New DB12 Variant, The DB12 S

SAUDI ARABIA: The CEO of Aston Martin, Mr Adrian Hallmark, had mentioned a plan to introduce more variants for each model in their lineup. And after the introduction of the DBX S and the Vantage S, Aston Martin has now introduced a new variant of the DB12, called the DB12 S. It has received several performance upgrades and enhancements to improve its driveability further. 

Coming straight to the upgrades, the car’s engine has been refined further, and the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine now outputs a maximum of 691 hp. This is 20 hp higher than the standard models. Further refinement of the car’s transmission with quicker shifts and improved launch control has helped the DB12 S’s coupe variant cut down its 0 to 60 mph time to 3.4 seconds. However, the DB12 S Volante variant still needs 3.5 seconds to reach 60 mph.

With a top speed of 202 mph or 325 kmph, the car has been optimised in terms of braking to improve safety as well. The DB12 S now comes standard with carbon ceramic brakes. This helps the car lose almost 27 kgs in unsprung weight. The car has also received a brand new corner braking control system with 16.1-inch brakes in the front and 14.2-inch brakes in the rear wheels.

Inside the car, the DB12 S variant will get a red knurled metal drive mode rotary dial on the centre console. The red colouring is a reference to the exterior badging found on S variant cars from Aston Martin. The cabin materials now have three interior trim configurations and come with leather and Alcantara. The DB12 S is available in coupe and convertible configurations, and it is available for orders now. The deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
