2026 Kia EV2 Finally Unveiled As The Brand’s Smallest EV Yet
SAUDI ARABIA: Kia has finally unveiled the EV2 city SUV. It is a direct competitor to cheap Chinese EVs available globally, and it is expected to reach showrooms later in 2026. The model is going to be manufactured in Slovakia, which is different from other Kia models, which are generally manufactured in South Korea or China. The Kia EV2 will have a lower price point than the EV3; however, the newer model may only be marginally cheaper than the EV3.

The dimensions of the EV2 are cute, and it is a smaller car than other small cars like the Mazda CX-3 and the Toyota Yaris Cross. The EV2 is 4,060 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,575 mm tall, with a 2,565 mm wheelbase. The EV2 is going to go into production very soon, with a proposed timeline of the entry-level models going into production first.

The model will be powered by a 100kW front electric motor. The car also gets a 42.2 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 317 km. The Long Range EV2 that’s due mid-2026 will have a 61 kWh battery and a claimed range of 448 km. The Long Range model will also have a more powerful powertrain with a 108 kW front electric motor.
Kia has claimed that the small and large batteries of the EV2 will both be able to charge quickly with fast charging capability. The car will be able to charge from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes, which makes the Kia EV2 a competent urban mobility solution with a decent range for daily commute and a fast charging speed that makes long journeys possible.
