Kia Has Officially Unveiled The GT Versions of EV3, EV4, and EV5 Cars
SAUDI ARABIA: The EV3, 4, and 5 are all getting GT versions. The EV3 gets it as a crossover, the EV4 gets it as a fastback and hatchback model, and the EV5 gets it as an SUV variant. All these new models were showcased at the Brussels Motor Show currently underway. The GT variants have always been performance-oriented in the Kia lineup, and that’s exactly how it is going to be for the new EV lineup GT cars. These models will get a dual-motor setup, which will exude more power and offer performance upgrades. The new EV models will expand the existing GT lineup that already comprises the EV6 and EV9 GT models.
Kia EV3 & EV4 GT: Key Highlights

The EV3 and EV4 GT will be built on Hyundai Motor Group’s E-GMP platform. These models will feature AWD powertrains and virtual gearshifts, which are quite nice features in EVs and are sure to improve the driving experience of the car. The battery pack of the car remains the same with its standard long-range 81.2kWh battery. The front and rear axles of the car produce 197hp an 95hp respectively, delivering a total power of 292 hp. The 0 to 100 kmph speed is 5.7 seconds for the EV3 GT model and 5.7 seconds for the EV4 GT.
Apart from a power bump, the EV3 GT and EV4 GT are getting some chassis tuning to improve the car’s performance. The models are also getting 20-inch alloy wheels and electronically adjustable dampers. The models will also get a simulated gearshift function, as seen on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.
Kia EV5 GT: Key Highlights

The EV5 GT has improved interiors and performance upgrades over its non-GT variant. Even with a more powerful dual motor setup that churns out 306 hp, the EV5 GT still takes 6.2 seconds for a 0 to 100 kmph sprint. The battery details of the EV5 GT have not been shared yet. However, it is expected to feature an 88.1kWh battery pack as per industry chatter. To improve the performance and driving experience, the EV5 GT is expected to get performance tyres, a customised chassis tuning, and electrically adjustable dampers.
