Kia Announces The Niro PHEV Model Will Be Discontinued For 2026
SAUDI ARABIA: Kia has announced that the Kia Niro PHEV model will be dead for 2026. The company stated, “Due to changing market conditions, the 2026 Niro PHEV will no longer be available in the US market.” The discontinuation is not a surprising announcement, considering the PHEV model seemed like the weak link of the Niro lineup. The gas-powered and EV models were popular and offered excellent service, but the PHEV model always seemed to be playing catch-up.
The Kia Niro petrol and EV models have been confirmed to stick around through 2027. The dwindling sales of the PHEV model are being considered as the reason for the model’s discontinuation. The Niro is not the highest-selling vehicle in the Kia lineup, but it has enough popularity that the model is not being discontinued as a whole.
