Mercedes Releases Teaser Images Of Concept AMG GT Track Sport Supercar
SAUDI ARABIA: Mercedes is gearing up for a track-ready new GT variant that’s going to be powered by a mighty V8 engine. The teaser images shared by Mercedes show that the car is hinting towards a highly competitive track-ready supercar that’s ready to take on Porsche at the Nürburgring racing event.
Even though there’s no direct confirmation from the brand regarding the production of the new AMG GT Track Sport supercar, it may be used as a homologation model for AMG’s next GT3 race car.
What’s Powering The AMG GT Track Sport Supercar
The new model is expected to feature a variation of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine from the GT63 Pro line. The performance figures of this engine are an impressive 603 hp and 850 Nm. Though no official confirmation was provided, rumors suggest that the car could feature a hybrid augmentation as well, which would elevate the engine output close to 800 hp.

From the teaser images shared by Mercedes, it is visible that the new model will have a coupe design with aggressive aerodynamic styling. The current generation AMG GT models have a 2+2 seating capacity, which is going to be changed by this newly proposed model. The AMG GT Track Sport supercar is going to have a dedicated two-seater capacity, focusing strongly on driving performance.
