Opel Reveals 2026 Astra Model: It Gets A Facelift With Brighter Headlights

SAUDI ARABIA: In 2026, Opel is refreshing its C-segment car to match with design trends of the time. As a part of its facelift, the 2026 Opel Astra gets a light bar bisected by an illuminated logo. Another standout feature of the new model is the headlights themselves. They are brighter now. As anti-climactic as it may sound, there’s more to it. Open has introduced an enhanced version of its adaptive, glare-free headlight technology to this new model. It has over 50,000 individual elements. This allows the partial blocking of light and avoids disturbance for oncoming drivers. A subtle but practical on-road benefit.

2026 Opel Astra: Interior Design

In terms of the interior design, the car has been carried over from the outgoing model. In terms of new features, the interiors now include comfortable seats, even with the entry-level trim. The seats are also called Intelli-Seats and feature a central recess to reduce tailbone pressure. The seat covers feature the use of recycled materials, improving the eco-friendliness of the car. As a bonus, the car also gets some optional seat upgrades such as massaging seats, memory functionality, and electro-pneumatic lumbar support.

2026 Opel Astra: Engine & Performance

The updated model retains both its ICE and hybrid powertrains. The EV variant, however, is being revised to improve its performance and range. The EV model gets a slightly larger battery pack, with a usable capacity of 55.4 kWh, which provides a range of around 454 km per charge. Additionally, the EV Astra can now also chaarge e-bikes and other external devices thanks to the integration of vehicle-to-load (V2L) function.
