Skoda Brings Back Its 90s Pickup Truck The Felicia Fun With A New Concept

SAUDI ARABIA: As a part of Skoda’s “Icons Get a Makeover” series, the Felicia, which was one of the brand’s popular car options in the 90s is getting a new digital concept. The Felicia Fun in specific was the pickup variant of the model, which had a limited production run of six years. Only 4,216 units of the car were ever manufactured.

In 2025, Skoda has reimagined the 90s icon as a digital concept again with a renewed design that still features its iconic yellow body paint. The French designer Julien Petitseigneur has reimagined the car’s design in line with Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design language. The key to this redesign is still staying faithful to the 90s nostalgia.

Generally, designers don’t go into designing the interiors for a concept car, but Felicia Fun has got a complete interior design as well. To stay in line with 2025, the interiors feature multiple screens up front, but they still feel nostalgia and old as the design resembles that of old CRT monitors that were popular in the 90s. The car’s design has changed though with the car becoming a two-seater now rather than the 4 seater that it used to be in the 90s.

Even though this car is currently just a digital concept, it is nice to see iconic old vehicles in a new light again. Considering the current status of car markets worldwide, it is difficult to consider that this concept will ever see a production variant. In fact, Skoda has not manufactured a single pickup truck ever since the Felicia Fun was retired at the turn of the century.
