Suzuki Announces New-Generation Across Its Mid-Size PHEV SUV
SAUDI ARABIA: The Suzuki Across is a rebadged Toyota RAV4. It is the same car with the same features, powertrain, interiors, and performance. The only difference? One is badged to Toyota and the other to Suzuki. As the new-generation RAV4 was announced, Suzuki also followed suit with the announcement of the next-generation Across model.

The biggest question you would have in this case is which model is more affordable? The answer is the Toyota RAV4. The Suzuki Across doesn’t have trim options or variants. It has one variant, which is based on the RAV4 Prime. So, it comes with a lot of higher-end features out of the box. The RAV4, on the other hand, has many trim options and it has a lower starting price, compared to the Across.
Suzuki Across: What We Know So Far?

The Suzuki Across is a complete replica of the RAV4. So, the 2.5-litre petrol four-cylinder engine that powers the RAV4 also powers the Across. Additionally, the car also gets two electric motors, one in the front and one in the rear, to get a maximum of 100 km of WLTP-rated pure electric range.
Inside the cabin, both cars will feature a 12.3-inch Digital Instrument cluster, a 12.9-inch touchscreen in the centre console, and a heads-up display. The centre console will be used to control climate, audio, and navigation. Safety features provided with the Across include autonomous emergency braking, driver fatigue alert, emergency steering assist, 360-degree camera, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and front cross-traffic alert.
The car is expected to be available with dealers by the end of March 2026. The Middle East and KSA availability has not been confirmed as of yet, so only time will tell whether these cars find their way to the KSA or not.
