The 2026 Hyundai Staria Gets A Mid-Life Update & Gets Back Physical Buttons
SAUDI ARABIA: The Staria from Hyundai is all set to receive a mid-life update in 2026. The car is expected to remain unchanged in terms of performance with its hybrid variant and 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine pushing power to the front wheels. The other variant remains the 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel with all-wheel drive.

The design changes to the Staria are minimal. The only changes include a body-coloured lower front bumper. This will break up the traditional honeycomb pattern. Similarly, the front DRL is now a single piece across the front of the car. Previously, this DRL was broken up into three pieces. The new model also gets an engraved ‘Staria’ logo in the front.

The main changes have occurred inside the cabin, starting with an infotainment touchscreen, which is now bigger. Previously, the car had a 10.25-inch infotainment system, which will now be 12.3 inches with complete wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The infotainment system will also be powered by Hyundai’s ‘ccNC’ software.
The main attraction lies not in the infotainment system, but rather in the change of the fiddly touch controls of the Staria. They have now been replaced with hard keys and dials. This is a good decision for the brand because the touch-sensitive controls were prone to fingerprints, difficult to clean, and very moody in their functioning.
The steering wheel is also new post-update. The car will also come equipped with Digital Key 2 access via a smartphone, an updated built-in dashcam, and a revised multi-zone voice recognition system.
