The Nissan Altima Gets New Life For At Least One Additional Model Year, But With Fewer Trims & Higher Price Tags
SAUDI ARABIA: The Nissan Altima gets new life for at least one more model year in a world where mid-size sedans are being discontinued left and right. Well, thanks to Nissan, enthusiasts will still have something to enjoy while it lasts. However, the pricing and the trim options are changing for the possibly final model year of the Altima.

It is getting more expensive by losing its entry-level trim completely. In fact, the model is also losing its top trim option, making all the mid-variants your only option for getting this car. This may be a great thing for people who wanted to get the mid variants but didn’t have the motivation to go beyond the entry variant in the beginning.

The new models will still use Nissan’s 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that generates 188 hp in front-wheel drive models. Nissan also offers all-wheel drive on the Altima, and those have a power output of 182 hp. The engine is paired with Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission. It is the only gearbox option for both FWD and AWD variants.
The Altima was long rumoured to be discontinued after 2025. The rumours grew stronger because the sales of the car continued declining in the US, where it was one of the major sellers. Sales for the smaller sedan models have improved, and Nissan has also improved them further with newer designs and other tweaks.
For the next model year, the Nissan Altima will only have the Altima SV and the Altima SR trims available. The SR Premium package will add some improved interior features, like heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate, and a nine-speaker Bose audio system in the cabin.
