Ferrari Confirms The New Amalfi Model Will Not Receive Any Fiorano Pack

SAUDI ARABIA: Parents try not to openly disclose a favourite child; similarly, brands don’t try to alienate their own products by calling favourites, but Ferrari is not just any brand. And as a result, the brand is willing to tell its buyers, the Amalfi model is not really our most expensive model, so we’re not really considering additional upgrades for it. That’s the basic idea behind what’s happening. 

Though that may sound shocking, there can be a good takeaway from it, too. Think about it, additional packages cost more money, and a higher price tag keeps Ferrrai out of the reach of most people. So, considering there’s an active effort from Ferrari right now in defining the Amalfi as a budget Ferrari, the limited features and not having racetrack-ready performance may allow the car to be more practical and reasonable for a horde of new buyers.

So, is the Amalfi not having a Fiorano pack the end of the world? No. It may be for some internet commenters, but they were not standing in line to buy the newest Ferrari models, so the brand will survive this shocking revelation quite pleasantly. 

Do note that even without the Fiorano pack, the car has a twin-turbocharged V8 engine that can manage to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.3 seconds. When asked about the Amalfi, Matta Meggiorin, Product Marketing Manager for the Amalfi at Ferrari, said, “Usually, for this positioning of cars, we do not develop a Fiorano pack, because the main purpose of the car needs to be a very sporty car on one side and, as we say, the car has basically two souls. A very sporty car on one hand, especially in the high momentum position. But also a car that a customer, also a new customer, can drive very easily without any fault in mind in the lower position. But not on purpose on a Fiorano, or something that you can imagine on a racetrack.”
