FAST F61H Hydrogen V12 Launched In The UAE, KSA Launch Coming Soon?
SAUDI ARABIA: The kingdom is invested in a hydrogen future with its investments in hydrogen adoption in the Gulf region. The presence of Extreme H racing, does significantly improves the interest of KSA in getting a separate launch for the FAST F61H Hydrogen. As it stands right now, the FAST F61H Hydrogen V12 has gotten an UAE launch. As the name suggests, the car has a V12 engine.
What’s surprising is that even though the car will be run by Hydrogen, the performance, sound, and feel of the V12 engine will be unchanged. In fact, as a hydrogen-powered car, it will deliver absolutely zero carbon emissions. The F61H is the world’s first street-legal hydrogen internal combustion engine supercar, and there’s a lot to unpack with this model.
Hydrogen ICE Cars & The FAST F61H V12

Hydrogen ICE cars have been in development for a long time. In fact, at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, brands showcased prototypes of trucks that will be powered by Hydrogen in the future. So, a supercar powered by hydrogen was the next logical step in the technology’s evolution. But there’s a lot that’s not known about hydrogen-powered cars. To quickly summarise:
-
Hydrogen-powered cars have zero CO2 emissions.
-
These cars do not depend on battery packs or fuel cells
-
They retain the mechanical structure and functioning of ICE engines
-
These cars allow refueling like petrol cars; however, it is not as fast. Still, it is expected that refueling Hydrogen cars will be faster than charging EVs.
