The BMW M3 Electric To Be Launched In 2027, Model To Feature Synthetic Sounds & Simulated Gearshifts
SAUDI ARABIA: The new BMW M3 Electric is an exciting new model to be launched in 2027 by BMW. The model will be designed using the new Neue Klasse design language of BMW; in fact, the M3 Electric will also feature the use of the Neue Klasse EV platform. This platform will allow the car to have simulated gearshifts and synthetic sounds. This is aimed at helping drivers feel more like an ICE car, even when they’re driving an EV.

The Electric M3 is set to be launched by the end of 2027, and it will be inspired by the upcoming BMW electric i3 model. The performance figures have not been shared yet for the BMW M3 electric, but it is expected that the car will feature driver-focused performance with a good range and driving dynamics.

When asked about the M3 electric’s performance and tuning, Dominik Suckart, BMW’s high-voltage battery chief, acknowledged that the electric M3 has “a legacy to continue.” He also noted that the Neue Klasse EV platform is very tuned to meet the performance of an M-series car. Simply put, the electric M3 will provide a familiar driving experience to the M series, despite being fully electric.
The addition of synthetic sounds and artificial gearshifts is added to make the car’s driving experience feel more engaging. This is the same strategy used by Hyundai on their Ioniq 5 and 6 models, and it has been positively received by users. Lastly, even though the performance figures have not been revealed, it is confirmed that the electric M3 will have a quad motor setup, and it will have a great focus on traction control and handling to make the driving feel engaging.
