The New FJ Cruiser From Toyota Is Launching Very Soon, And It Might Debut On October 20

SAUDI ARABIA: As per a report from a Japanese magazine, Mag-X, the new Land Cruiser FJ could be unveiled on October 20. The smaller off-road SUV has been teased for the last two years, and with the launch very close, speculations run rampant. It is expected that this model will be called the Land Cruiser FJ, and it will start deliveries by the second quarter of 2026.

What do we know about the Toyota FJ Cruiser So Far?

In terms of the powertrain, this new model will feature a 2.7-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that’s also seen in the entry-level Hilux. With a maximum power output of 163, it places itself as a reasonable and practical vehicle for owners.

In terms of dimensions, the car will have a similar size to that of the Corolla Cross; however, the FJ Cruiser is expected to be stubbier. As per reports, the FJ Cruiser is five inches shorter than the Corolla Cross. So, in fairness, the dimensions of the FJ Cruiser don’t match those of the Corolla Cross; instead, it is much more in line with Ford’s Bronco Sport, rather than anything from the Toyota lineup.

While there’s some information available regarding the FJ Cruiser, there is still a lot that we don’t know. Like, there’s no information regarding which platform will be used to build the FJ Cruiser. While reports suggest that the car will be built on the IMV-0 platform, which already powers the Hilux Champ, or it could be powered by the TNGA-F architecture, there’s no confirmation from Toyota.

Since the car’s launch is expected in just a few days, all that’s unknown about the vehicle will become known very soon. The car is expected to be featured in Toyota’s lineup for the Japan Mobility Show at the end of October.
