In comparison to its predecessor, the Rio sedan, the new Kia K3 looks aggressive and bolder, as it features the brand&rsquo;s latest design language. The sporty front fascia of the Kia K3 features a sleek and sharp-looking &lsquo;tiger-nose&rsquo; grille, accompanied by &lsquo;7-shaped&rsquo; headlamp clusters on its sides. These headlamp clusters are jewelled with an array of LED projectors and attractive daytime running LED lights on their outer edges,&nbsp;
The front bumper of the Kia K3 has angular LED fog lamps positioned on the lower edges of the headlamp housings. It also features a large, rectangular air dam with honeycomb mesh inserts in the centre. Inspired by the Kia Stinger sports sedan, the fastback-like design of its C-pillar gives the K3 its unique identity. The side profile is also elegant, featuring a long wheelbase, smoothly contoured door panels, and 17-inch wheels with slim body cladding over the wheel arches.
The rear profile of the Kia K3 also looks sharp and dynamic, with the sedan featuring a &lsquo;7-themed&rsquo; design for its LED tail lamps. These sleek-looking LED tail lamps are further enhanced by an LED light bar across the boot lid, giving the K3 a wide and premium appearance from the rear.&nbsp;

Like the exterior, the interior of the Kia K3 also feels heavily inspired by other, more premium sedans in Kia&rsquo;s lineup. The overall cabin has a much richer and better-equipped feel than the Rio sedan, which it replaced. The dual-tone black and brown leather upholstery, paired with GT-Line fabric inserts, creates a luxurious and sporty feel in the cabin simultaneously.&nbsp;
A complete TFT cockpit, featuring 10.25-inch screens for the instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system, graces the Kia K3. The cockpit is fully digital, positioned behind a new-generation two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. The centre console features a sleek design, accommodating slim AC vents and a panel for the buttons of the dual-zone automatic climate control.
With LED cabin lights, a front centre armrest, a wireless charger, powered rearview mirrors, sport pedals, and a 6-speaker audio system, the Kia K3's cabin feels decently equipped. However, we would have loved to see more premium features here in the cabin of the K3.&nbsp;

A 1.6-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine serves as the standard powertrain in all variants of the Kia K3. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, this petrol engine, which is quite refined and powerful for its size, claims a maximum power output of 123 PS and a maximum torque output of 154 Nm in the Kia K3.&nbsp;

Comfort and suspension
The Kia K3 features a suspension setup consisting of MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link arrangement at the rear, which has been retained from its predecessor, the Rio sedan. With a hint of stiffness, the overall ride quality of the Kia K3 feels slightly stiffer over uneven patches. However, in most cases, the ride and handling balance of the Kia K3 feels well-settled, with its well-weighted steering providing decent feedback at higher speeds as well.&nbsp;

Safety and braking
The Kia K3 is well-equipped with safety features, boasting a comprehensive list of safety equipment that includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. This compact sedan from Kia is also equipped with an array of driver assistance systems, including high beam assist, blind spot collision avoidance assist, forward collision avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance assist, driver attention warning, safe exit warning, lane keeping assist, and lane following assist.&nbsp;

Conclusion
Compared to the Rio sedan it has replaced, the Kia K3 appears much sharper, thanks to its modern-themed exterior and interior designs. However, much of its mechanical setup has been retained from the Rio sedan, which is not a bad thing, considering that the engine and suspension setup of the K3 feels well-engineered.&nbsp;
