Toyota Unveils The New bZ7 EV in China With A Late 2025 Launch Date

SAUDI ARABIA: The ‘beyond Zero’ lineup from Toyota has a new entrant with the bZ7 that’s going to be introduced in the Chinese market. This car is a part of Toyota’s multi-pathway approach and follows the likes of bZ4X, bZ3, and the bZ5 models. The bZ7 is a joint venture between GAC and Toyota, combining the advanced Chinese technology with Toyota’s reliable and high-quality manufacturing. 

The car is a sharp and sleek-looking sedan that measures over 5,130 mm in length, 1,965 mm in width, and 1,506 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,020 mm and a curb weight of 2,275 kg. The design of the EV is striking with a hammerhead front face and a fastback-style silhouette. The car also gets a roof-mounted LIDAR sensor, frameless doors, and a rear ducktail to make the design stand out even more.

Toyota bZ7 EV: Design & Interiors

The car’s sleek design is empowered with C-shaped headlights upfront and multi-spoke wheels that add a touch of class to the overall design. The cabin is a perfect combination of high-tech and minimalist, with the design and styling following a minimalist touch, starting with a trapezoidal instrument panel. The three-spoke steering wheel looks dashing, and the cabin also features Huawei’s HarmonyOS and a floating central console to complete its setup. The bZ7 is also the first car to feature Xiaomi’s “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem. This allows users to connect personal devices, smart home products, and cars to the same ecosystem.

Toyota bZ7 EV: Engine & Performance

The EV is powered by a single electric motor that has been sourced from Huawei. The maximum power output of the motor is 278 hp, and the car has a top speed of up to 180 kmph. The bZ7 features a lithium iron phosphate battery pack that’s supplied by CALB-Tech. The range of the car and the battery capacity have not been released by the brand yet.
